V-twin car, V-twin airplane, Why not an V-twin wind turbine?

Maybe you still haven't seen ever this car. It is a British legend, a Morgan three wheeler, which by the way is so popular among enthusiasts that Morgan is re-launching it for the "affordable" price of 40,000 USD. If despite of all you want one at one tenth of the price, maybe you will be satisfied with its 2/3 sized pedal car replica for 4,000 USD.

Main argument of appeal of this model is the undeniably beauty of its V-twin motor in front of the car, reminding the image of vintage planes.

Have I said planes? In 1924  young pilot Steve Wittman built a Harley Davidson powered airplane, called "Hardly Ableson", due to its poor capabilities as a flying machine.

Moreover, in the Harley Davidson museum can be found some weird assemblies as this propeller on a JB model of the brand.

Why not building a vintage fashioned wind turbine showing a fake V-twin motor just like that lovely pedal car? Just ask for one and we will be building it for you right away.

I can imagine someone saying: talk is cheap, but how in the world are you going to design such a wind turbine. Well, I will let the drawing speak by itself.

AC 72, awesome wind machines

America's cup AC 72 class are one of the most thrilling type of sailing ships ever built and raced. And, yes, they are strictly wind machines, no burning fuel, no emissions, clean, clean, clean machines.

Why not capture this spirit of high technology and powerful wind machine in a wind turbine design. Okay, this is not an issue for a truly believer, as me, that can feel the power of wind flowing through the sails of these beautiful monsters of the sea.

Just check out the rendering.

Looking for inspiration on Ron Arad's work

In its restaurant at  les Diablerets, Gstaad, the famous designer Ron Arad creates a thrilling panoramic restaurant. Almost immediately I thought it would be a perfect shape for a wind turbine, maybe a twin rotor one.

You may thing it's crazy, but at least it stays high enough to reach clean winds.  To create a good mast design for this particular layout is quite a challenge, but regarding at its slightly old fashioned machine look, maybe an art-deco-Cord-car-like spirit could work fine with it.

Time will tell, but you cannot deny it has the perfect shape of a Piper plane engine, just missing a shiny chromed spinner and a three bladed propeller.
